Risk factors and disclaimer for mobile blood sampling
With certain health conditions, such as taking blood-thinning medication, increased bleeding risks or certain pre-existing conditions, mobile blood sampling can involve risks. Whether a blood sample should rather be taken in hospital depends on several factors.
In these situations, a hospital setting may be preferable:
Patients on high-dose anticoagulants
Treatment with high-dose blood thinners such as warfarin, heparin or new oral anticoagulants whose coagulation values (e.g. INR) are difficult to adjust or extremely high.
Bleeding tendency
Known bleeding disorders such as haemophilia or von Willebrand disease with an increased risk of prolonged or severe bleeding.
Platelet aggregation inhibitors
Especially if a low platelet count or liver disease additionally impairs blood clotting.
Severe liver disease
Impaired coagulation can increase the risk of bleeding.
Severe kidney dysfunction
Coagulation disorders can increase the risk of bleeding.
Recent major surgery
After major surgery or invasive procedures, the risk of bleeding may be increased.
Unstable vital signs or acute emergencies
These require close monitoring and rapid access to emergency measures.
Careful consideration
In all these cases, risks and benefits must be weighed individually: according to medical history, current state of health and urgency. Emergency equipment and trained staff in a hospital can be decisive.
Your confirmation and liability
By placing your order, you confirm that you have consulted your doctor or non-medical practitioner, are aware of these individual risks and act on your own responsibility. Your order is voluntary, as part of your “free choice of provider”.
In the event of complications during or after the blood sampling, neither the professional carrying it out nor CREASANO UG can be held liable, provided that the blood or sample collection was carried out properly. In the event of demonstrably improper performance, both the professional and CREASANO UG have business or professional liability insurance.
Preliminary check for every order
For every order, we first ask whether there is a medical indication and a prescription. We do not want to know which illness is behind it. This ensures that our professionals are deployed where blood sampling is medically necessary and helps relieve practices and the healthcare system. This check is not required by law for our service; we carry it out voluntarily as a quality standard.
